Breast milk contains stem cells (ScienceAlert)
“We already know how breast milk provides for the baby’s nutritional needs, but we are only just beginning to understand that it probably performs many other functions,” says Dr Cregan, a molecular biologist at The University of Western Australia.
He says that, in essence, a new mother’s mammary glands take over from the placenta to provide the development guidance to ensure a baby’s genetic destiny is fulfilled.

Nursing in Public
Fact: Breastfeeding is best for babies.
Fact: Brestfeeding on demand is a commonly accepted way of breastfeeding that many people consider to be the best way to go about it.
Fact: Breastfeeding on demand usually requires that you feed the baby in public once in a while, unless you intend to never leave your house.
Fact: The law protects a baby's right to eat in public, the law does not require that mothers cover up or hide to do so. Obviously, the makers of the law assume (correctly, IMO) that the mothers will use their best judgement as to the best ways to accomplish the feeding of the baby while in public.
Fact: Breastfeeding is not comparable to any act of elimination, nor is it comparable to any sexual act, such as masturbation or intercourse. Breastfeeding is comparable to eating. That's all the baby is doing... eating.
Fact: Applebees broke the law that protects nursing mothers and their babies. There is no law that guarantees anyone the right to not be offended by something they see, therefore, those of you who are offended by it have no recourse, unless you want to change the law or write a new one. I would suggest, however, that you simply buy some blinders so that you can keep your focus on your own plate at restaurants, because you will have a hard time getting the "Nothing Must Be Allowed To Offend Or Upset Me" bill passed.
If you haven't seen a breast by now, perhaps it's time you did anyway.

Pediatricians were thrilled. Many consider not breastfeeding to be a public health issue.
20/20 uncovered an INTENSE formula company lobbying campaign in an investigation, because they would lose so much money if people stopped formula feeding.
